The legal requirements of a valid strike are as follows:

1. It must not be contrary to a specific prohibition of law, such as strike by employees performing governmental functions;

2. It must not violate a specific requirement of law, that is, the procedural requirements must be observed;

3. It must not be for an unlawful purpose;

4. It does not employ unlawful means in the pursuit of its objective;

5. It must not be declared in violation of an existing injunction;

6. It must not be contrary to an existing agreement, such as a no-strike clause.
